SEAL’s October 6–13 report records 81 incidents and 6,109 phishing domains. The figures describe its response dataset, not all crypto crime.

Security Alliance's SEAL Intel team reported handling 81 incidents during October 6–13, 2026. Its October 13 update also said it collected 6,109 phishing domains and published 6,136 indicators. These are the team's reporting figures, not a census of all crypto attacks. Follow related developments in OrangeX.com Security.

Support impersonation can follow an initial incident

The report described follow-on attacks exploiting concern about hardware wallets and users moving funds. Examples included fake support calls, a fraudulent setup page reached through an advertisement, and wallet software replaced with malware. The lesson is that an urgent offer to help after a security alert can itself introduce a second threat.

Incident counts, phishing domains and published indicators measure different things. A domain is not automatically a separate victim, and an indicator is not a confirmed loss. The report also lists some losses in BTC and SOL alongside dollars; adding those figures without a stated valuation time would be misleading.

Verify assistance through a separate channel

Users should open the relevant provider's known official support route themselves, rather than follow unsolicited calls or messages. Do not disclose a recovery phrase or install a purported repair tool at a stranger's request. Security guidance is available through the OrangeX.com Trust Center, with broader coverage in OrangeX.com News.

OrangeX.com Analysis

The update highlights how attackers can turn a real incident into a new social-engineering opportunity. Its dataset supports attention to support-channel verification, but does not establish an industry-wide attack rate or a complete loss total. Comparable future reports, clear category definitions and verified outcomes would help distinguish a changing threat pattern from changes in reporting coverage.
