Advanced Bonus FAQ

  1. What is OrangeX Advanced Bonus?

A:OrangeX Advanced Bonus is a new product designed to provide traders with an extremely low-risk trading experience in live markets. It allows users to test platform functionalities while experiencing our products. Unlike regular bonuses, this system prioritizes real trading activity and prevents abuse.

  1. How to Obtain OrangeX Advanced Bonus?

A: OrangeX Advanced Bonus can be obtained by participating in the platform-hosted campaigns and other activities such as trading competitions, airdrop events, etc

  1. How Can the Advanced Bonus be Utilised?

3.1) What is “Total Equity” and why does it matter?

To make it easier for you to monitor your overall account equity and manage position risk, we’ve introduced a new metric: Total Equity. Total Equity provides a more intuitive view of the equity available as a risk-management reference, helping you better track your account status and position risk.

Formula: Total Equity = Account Principal + Eligible Advanced Bonus + ∑(Position UPnL) − ∑(Position Maintenance Margin)

Risk Threshold:
When Total Equity ≤ 0, the account reaches the defined liquidation threshold, and the liquidation process may be triggered for active positions.

3.2) How can Advanced Bonus be used?

OrangeX Advanced Bonus can be employed to cover potential trading losses and serve as position margin, including for trading margins, trading fees, and funding. The Advanced Bonus itself cannot be withdrawn.However, profits earned from trading using the Advanced Bonus can be withdrawn in accordance with the stipulated terms and usage rules.

3) How much Advanced Bonus can count toward Total Equity?

The amount of Advanced Bonus counted cannot exceed the amount of Account Principal counted. This means the Account Principal-to-Advanced Bonus ratio should be at least 1:1. As a result, only the portion of Advanced Bonus that is matched by Account Principal can be counted toward Total Equity.

Cross-Margin Mode — Examples for your reference

1. Under all Existing Liquidation Mechanism

Under the normal liquidation mechanism:

Account Equity − Maintenance Margin < 0 → Liquidation may be triggered

For example:

  • Account Principal: 1,000 USDT
  • Advanced Bonus: 500 USDT
  • Total Position UPnL: −1,450 USDT
  • Total Position Maintenance Margin: 50 USDT

Total Equity = Account Principal 1000 + Eligible Advanced Bonus 500 + ∑(Position UPnL - 1450) - ∑(Position Maintenance Margin 50USDT)= 0 USDT = > liquidation

2. When the account’s Advanced Bonus exceeds the Account Principal.

Case 1: Account Principal ≥ Advanced Bonus No changes and impact.

For example:

  • Account Principal: 1,000 USDT
  • Advanced Bonus: 500 USDT
  • Eligible Advanced Bonus: 500 USDT
  • The full amount of the Advanced Bonus remains eligible for the Total Equity calculation.
  • Total Equity = 1,000 + 500 + (−1,450) − 50 = 0 USDT

Therefore, there is no change to the liquidation threshold compared with the existing mechanism.

Case 2: Account Principal < Advanced Bonus

For example:

  • Account Principal: 1,000 USDT
  • Advanced Bonus: 1,100 USDT
  • Eligible Advanced Bonus: 1,000 USDT

Under the 1:1 Account Principal-to-Advanced Bonus ratio, only 1,000 USDT of the Advanced Bonus is eligible to be included in Total Equity.

Total Equity = Account Principal 1000 + Eligible Advanced Bonus 1000 + ∑(Position UPnL - 1950) - ∑(Position Maintenance Margin 50USDT)

So in this case, the UPL reaches - 1950 USDT will trigger liquidation, and the remaining 100 USDT bonus doesnt account for eligible bonus amount.
