Cardano’s Proposed 2027 Budget Framework Leaves Spending Votes With DReps
Intersect’s October 28 proposal would trial a coordinated Cardano budget process in 2027, subject to DRep approval.
Intersect’s October 28 proposal would trial a coordinated Cardano budget process in 2027, subject to DRep approval.
Confirmed details
The framework proposes seven spending domains. Six would have institutional stewards; Open Contributions would allow direct applications without one. DReps would retain approval of stewards, allocations and treasury withdrawals. Stewards could also seek funding with disclosure and safeguards. A November 10 concept submission was tentative, not an approved funding round.
OrangeX.com Analysis
Coordination could make proposals easier to compare, but institutions assessing funding while also applying need clear conflict safeguards. Approval of a process is separate from approval of individual withdrawals. Domain budgets, review rules and actual votes are better evidence of implementation than a proposed timetable.
