CoinShares reported a $23.9 million first-half loss. Lower asset values weighed on fee income, while AUM recovered after June.

Key Takeaways

  • CoinShares reported $51.4 million in first-half revenue and a $23.9 million net loss.
  • Net inflows stayed positive; assets under management recovered after June.

Details

CoinShares reported on September 14, 2026 that first-half revenue fell 35.7% year on year, despite $27.6 million in net inflows. The digital asset manager attributed weaker fee income mainly to lower average assets under management as crypto prices declined.

Its unaudited financial statements show a $23.9 million net loss for the six months ended June 30, 2026, compared with a $77.6 million profit a year earlier. That includes a $15.4 million unrealized loss on treasury digital assets.

Assets under management fell from $7.40 billion at December 31, 2025, to $5.52 billion at June 30, 2026. CoinShares said they had recovered to $6.93 billion by August 31.

Market Analysis

CoinShares said the growing share of AUM in its lower-fee BLOCK Index reduced its blended fee rate.

CoinShares cut BITC's annual management fee to 0.15% on February 23, 2026. At a fixed asset value, a lower fee reduces investor costs and the manager's revenue per invested dollar.
