Ethereum Staking ETF Extends Full Sponsor Fee Waiver Through October 2027
The 21shares Ethereum Staking ETF will keep its 100% sponsor fee waiver through October 8, 2027, while its reported net staking reward stood at 2.65% on October 1, 2026.
21shares has extended the 100% sponsor fee waiver for its Ethereum Staking ETF, ticker TETH, for another 12 months. The waiver is now scheduled to remain in place through October 8, 2027. The issuer said the fund's net staking reward was 2.65% as of October 1, 2026, after fees and expenses.
What the fee waiver changes
The waiver removes the sponsor fee during the stated period, reducing one layer of fund costs. It does not remove trading spreads, brokerage charges, taxes or other expenses an investor may face. It also does not guarantee that the ETF will outperform Ether or earn a particular return.
The reported 2.65% net staking reward was annualized from a 30-day period. It can change with Ethereum network conditions and with the share of fund assets deployed in staking. It is not a forecast of the fund's future yield or total performance.

How staking reaches ETF investors
The trust stakes part of its Ether through validators and receives protocol rewards. After applicable costs, those rewards contribute to the trust's assets. Shareholders own ETF shares rather than Ether directly, so they do not control validator operations or hold the underlying coins in a personal wallet.
TETH is not registered under the Investment Company Act of 1940 and therefore does not have all protections associated with funds registered under that law. Ether prices, staking rewards, validator performance and market liquidity can all affect results.

What investors should monitor
The most useful comparisons are the fund's market price versus net asset value, the percentage of assets staked, realized staking rewards and any change to the waiver before October 2027. A zero sponsor fee can improve cost efficiency, but liquidity and tracking quality remain important.
OrangeX.com Analysis
The extension strengthens TETH's cost proposition at a time when issuers are competing on both fees and staking access. The 2.65% figure provides a recent reference point, but it should be treated as variable income rather than a promised yield.
The practical test is whether staking rewards continue to offset operating costs without widening tracking differences or adding material liquidity risk. The waiver is favorable for expenses, yet investment outcomes will still depend mainly on Ether's price and the fund's execution.
