Confirmed details
Consumer prices fell 0.2% from September. Core inflation excluding food and energy was estimated at 2.1%. The harmonised index rose 2.8% annually but fell 0.1% monthly. Energy prices were 12.2% higher than a year earlier. Final October results are scheduled for November 11.
OrangeX.com Analysis
A monthly price decline can coexist with positive annual inflation because the comparison periods differ. Germany’s national CPI is not the euro area aggregate, and the HICP uses a different methodology. These provisional figures do not themselves establish an ECB decision or a direction for crypto prices.
