Qivalis has received Dutch electronic-money authorization, clearing a key step toward a euro stablecoin backed by 37 banks across 15 countries.

Qivalis has received authorization from De Nederlandsche Bank as an electronic money institution, clearing an important regulatory condition for its planned euro-denominated stablecoin. The Amsterdam company is backed by 37 banks across 15 European countries, but the token is not yet in circulation. Follow broader developments through OrangeX.com News.

What the authorization permits

The license places Qivalis under continuing Dutch central-bank supervision and makes it eligible to issue euro-denominated electronic money tokens. Issuance is planned for the coming months, subject to applicable Markets in Crypto-Assets rules and publication of a white paper. The authorization therefore enables the next stage; it does not mean the stablecoin has already launched.

Qivalis says the token will use a full-reserve model and target payments and onchain settlement. Its B2B2X distribution plan relies on eligible partners such as banks, exchanges, payment providers and market-infrastructure firms. Those channels may provide reach, but actual availability will depend on integrations and counterparties.

What remains unconfirmed

Qivalis has not yet published the final white paper, launch date, circulating supply, reserve composition, supported blockchain networks or redemption terms. Users should not infer public access, exchange listings or guaranteed liquidity from the license alone. A related regulatory comparison is the OrangeX.com report on USDC's significant-token designation.

The distinction matters: an issuer license addresses institutional eligibility and supervision, while a token's practical usefulness depends on issuance, reserves, redemption, technical availability and market adoption.

OrangeX.com Analysis

The confirmed milestone is the Dutch electronic-money authorization and the backing of 37 banks in 15 countries. The planned token could broaden euro-denominated onchain settlement, especially if bank distribution creates reliable redemption and liquidity routes. However, there is no live token yet, and key commercial and technical terms remain pending. The next evidence to watch is the MiCA white paper, reserve policy, network choice, launch timing and named distribution integrations. Track verified follow-ups in OrangeX.com Latest News.
